Kemipol is founded in 1982 with 100% Turkish capital. Business area was defined as Industrial Coatings Market.

In its first-year number of employees of this humble company was only 12. As years passed by, it growed and improved.

We believe that the bold, innovative management style that attaches great importance to research and development and the young and creative manpower that realizes these are the basic elements of success.

After the Joint Venture established with AkzoNobel in 1990, the company still continues its activities in Vehicle Refinishes, Wood Coatings, Specialty Pastic Coatings and Coil Coatings as under the roof of AkzoNobel Kemipol today.

In 2009, a new Joint Venture is established between Altan Family and Kansai Paint Japan. The new company is named as Kansai Altan and it is active in Automotive and General Industrial market areas.

Kansai Paint is one of the biggest paint producers of the world. It has a high-tech product portfolio and a very big R&D potential. On the other hand, we also have gathered a considerable amount of tehcnological experience in more then 30 years.

Today, Kansai Altan has ~900 employees, 90k tons/year paint production and 20k ton/year polymer production capacity with modern production and R&D lab capabilities. It has become one of the biggest paint suppliers of the market with an annual sales of 63,4k tons. 

These two technological know-hows and our young and dynamic staff with product development potential brought together in our Kansai Altan organization, enable us to serve much better in the Automotive and General Industry markets. In addition, Kansai Altan always aims to be competitive in the market while ensuring customer satisfaction.
