Elif Dorum Evsel, our Color R&D Laboratory Project Manager, presented a poster titled “Exploring Sustainable Blacks for Automotive Coatings, A Color Perspective”, in which the performance of recycled carbon black obtained from end-of-life tires and black pigments derived from Spirulina biomass were examined as an alternative to fossil-based carbon blacks.
We believe that this project is an important step forward in the paint industry, as sustainability in automotive is not just a trend, but has become inevitable as a reflection of the environmental and economic responsibilities required by the age!
